Our Work

What We Do

Equipment. Training. Readiness.
Ropes, radios, medical supplies — the working kit of a mountain rescue team.

01

Equipment

Put the right gear where it is needed.

Donations to the foundation go toward the equipment volunteer search and rescue teams rely on in Peru’s mountains. Gear is bought to fill the gaps teams identify, not to stock a warehouse.
Hands-on technical rescue instruction, delivered on the terrain teams work in.

02

Equipment

Bring technical rescue expertise to the teams doing the work.

The foundation funds trips for experienced trainers to travel to Peru and work directly with volunteer search and rescue teams on technical rescue skills.
Training happens in person, with the teams that will use it, on the kind of terrain where it matters. Skills stay with the team long after the trip ends.

Program in development

Good gear can keep moving.

If travelers are leaving Peru with gently used equipment they no longer need, the foundation is developing a program for donating boots, jackets, headlamps, packs, and other gear still in good condition.
The concept centers on a drop-off point in Cusco. It is still being developed, and details will follow as the program takes shape.
